Air Mekong is the first private airline to start service in Vietnam, a joint venture between The BIM Group of Vietnam and Atlantic Southeast Airlines in the United States. We operated our first flight on October 9, 2010 and are now serving 08 domestic destinations with two hubs, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. We currently operate 4 CRJ900 aircraft. Expansion opportunities abound in Southeast Asia and Air Mekong stands ready to meet the demand with new domestic and international routes planned for 2011.
We are looking to recruit qualified pilots as we expand in this dynamic market. Safety and professionalism are the key attributes we look for in the pilots we hire. New hire pilots at Air Mekong can expect to receive the best training available at our training facility in Atlanta, GA. We maintain the highest training standards in the industry and expect nothing less of those we entrust with our passengers, our airplanes and our staff. Please review the minimum experience requirements:
CRJ 900 Captain:
• 3,000 hours total time
•1,000 hours in type
•FAA, ICAO, JAA ATPL
•First Class Medical
•English Language level 4
First Officer:
•1,000 hours total time
•250 multi engine
•FAA, ICAO, JAA ATPL or CPL , CFI/II a plus but not required
•First Class Medical
•English Language level 4
**Knowledge of Vietnamese language a plus, but not required
All candidates must hold a valid passport and pass a physical exam. Before being offered employment, all candidates must provide a certified FBI, fingerprint based criminal background check, copy of their passport, pilot’s license(s), medical certificate, verification of no incidents or accidents and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
While this is not a contract position, pilots will be required to commit to an initial 13 month contract, extension thereafter at one year intervals. An attractive salary and benefit package is offered and will be discussed after an initial assessment.
